Bloomberg extends deal with Entercom to provide updates to news stations

A radio distributor that provides Bloomberg Radio content has extended an agreement to continue supplying financial news updates and live segments to more than two dozen Entercom radio stations.

The agreement between Key Networks and Entercom will allow several Radio.com stations airing an all-news or news-talk format to continue broadcasting Bloomberg Radio-branded bulletins and tap into the syndicates network of correspondents and commentators.

“This partnership brings Bloomberg-created content to listeners and advertisers, and we look forward to building on this successful partnership with Entercom,” Dennis Greene, an executive with Key Networks, said in a statement.

In California, stations covered under the expanded agreement include KNX (1070 AM) in Los Angeles and KCBS (740 AM) in San Francisco.

Most of the Entercom stations covered by the agreement have for years carried select Bloomberg Radio segments, including the “Bloomberg Money Minutes,” “Small Business Report” and “Real Estate Report.” The agreement was put in place shortly after Entercom acquired CBS Radio late 2017; prior to the merger, the CBS Radio stations aired segments produced by MoneyWatch, a financial news brand operated by CBS Interactive.
