Questex, the parent company of Fierce Video, and media analyst Dan Rayburn are partnering on an event at the upcoming StreamTV Show.

The Video Engineering Summit will take a deep dive at topics of interest to those who are tasked with the technical side of television, including directors, engineers, developers and business stakeholders.

Potential topics to be explored at the Video Engineering Summit include:

  • Video codecs, compression and quality of experience (QoE)
  • Packaging, playback and user interface (UI)
  • Search, discovery and user interface challenges
  • Overcoming device and platform fragmentation
  • Building and deploying free, ad-supported streaming (FAST) channels
  • Delivering low latency video at scale
  • Using cloud-based workflows for speed and optimization
  • Metrics, measurement and data collection
  • Best practices for video advertising and measurement

Rayburn is a natural fit to lead up the new Video Engineering Summit: With more than 25 years of experience in the streaming media space, Rayburn has been called “one of the foremost authorities, speakers, and writers on streaming media technology and OTT business models.” He regularly appears on the TD Ameritrade Network and is the chairman of the NAB Show’s Streaming Summit hosted by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).

Questex and Rayburn are currently accepting applications for speakers, presentation topics, case studies and technical papers. To learn more or to submit a speaker or presentation for consideration, click or tap here.

The event currently has early bird rates: A conference pass costs $800, while a VIP pass includes a VIP reception and pre-show networking opportunities for $1,200. Access to the StreamTV Awards dinner and reception costs $150. Rates are expected to increase after April 7. To register, click or tap here.
