CNN will debut a new multiplatform content initiative later this month called “CNN Creators” as part of a strategic push to attract a younger news audience through a blend of broadcast television, digital media and social storytelling, the brand announced on Monday.

The initiative includes a 30-minute weekly program, “CNN Creators – The Intro,” set to premiere October 23 on CNN International. The show will air Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. ET and serve as the first phase of a broader rollout that highlights a diverse team of content creators focused on emerging cultural conversations.

During its introductory months, the program will showcase digital-native journalists exploring topics at the intersection of technology, art, culture, and social trends — including artificial intelligence and sports. In early 2026, the program will evolve into its full format under the name “CNN Creators,” originating from CNN’s new production facility in Doha’s Media City.

The Doha studio will be purpose-built to foster collaboration among creators, featuring open workspaces designed for spontaneous and interactive storytelling. In addition to the television program, the CNN Creators team will produce content across CNN.com and the network’s social platforms.

Andrew Potter, a former senior editorial producer at Vice, will lead the team in Doha. He will be joined by Ivana Scatola, a multilingual video producer and former BBC and France 24 journalist; Bijan Hosseini, a familiar face to CNN International viewers; and Antoinette Radford, who was previously with BBC News and CNN’s Digital Live News unit.

Rounding out the lineup are Matias Grez, an award-winning CNN Sport producer and reporter based in London, and Ben Foley, a veteran war photojournalist whose work has appeared on Australia’s Seven Network and Network Ten, as well as Al Jazeera, Vice and the New York Times.

“CNN Creators is unlike any show we have ever launched,” said Meara Erdozain, the Senior Vice President of CNN International Programming. “This exciting new digital-forward initiative will reflect how our younger audiences are engaging with stories and will deliver compelling, entertaining content in a multitude of ways.”

Erdozain added that the series will emphasize “news-adjacent topics and stories that feel real, relevant, and relatable,” brought to life through a “fantastic team of digital-native journalists” focused on creativity and collaboration.
