German media and entertainment company Autentic is bringing three of its fact-based streaming channels to platforms in the United States for the first time.

The channels — Autentic Travel, Autentic History and Adventure Earth — are now available on Echostar’s free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) platform Sling Freestream, and will be offered through other FAST platforms in the coming months, the company said on Monday.

Autentic operates six FAST channels, most of which are geared toward German-speaking audiences. Over the past year, Autentic has launched regional variants of its FAST channels in English-speaking countries as part of an international expansion effort. In addition to the U.S., Autentic channels are offered on FAST platforms in Australia, New Zealand and Canada, with other regions targeted for future launches.

“We are thrilled to bring Autentic Travel, Autentic History, and Adventure Earth to the US audience,” Patrick Hörl, the Managing Director at Autentic, said in a statement. “Our mission has always been to offer viewers high-quality factual content that informs, entertains, and inspires. Expanding our presence to the US is a testament to the growing demand for our channels and the universal appeal of our programming.”

The U.S. represents one of the more-mature FAST markets, with tens of billions of dollars flowing to media and entertainment companies that offer their content through free, ad-based streams. Fremantle, BBC Studios and C15 Studio are among several overseas production and distribution brands to increase their focus on stateside channel launches over the past year.
