Premium streaming service CBS All Access will debut its first documentary produced by its CBS Interactive subsidiary.

“Console Wars,” a documentary based on the 2014 best-selling book of the same name, chronicles the battle between Nintendo and Sega Corporation for videogame dominance in homes around the world.

The documentary eschews the fictionalized dialogue found in the book for actual interviews with Nintendo and Sony executives as well as journalists who chronicled the battle between what was then the two biggest companies in the consumer videogame industry.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are credited as executive producers of the series.

The series premieres exclusively on CBS All Access this September 23.
