The Fox News Channel will conduct a pair of town hall interviews with the two leading candidates for the Republican presidential nomination next week.

The first town hall will take place Sunday, February 18 and will see Fox News anchor John Roberts moderate a question-and-answer style forum with former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley.

The Haley town hall will be taped earlier in the day at a venue in Columbia, South Carolina, and is scheduled to air at 5 p.m. Eastern Time (2 p.m. Pacific Time), with an encore broadcast for West Coast viewers at 10 p.m. Eastern Time (7 p.m. Pacific Time).

Two days later, Fox News host Laura Ingraham will moderate a town hall-style interview with Republican front-runner and former President Donald Trump in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Like the Haley town hall, the February 20 discussion with Trump will be pre-taped. It is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. Eastern Time (4 p.m. Pacific Time), the network said.

The network has produced a number of town hall-style interviews with Republican candidates in the past, including a moderated discussion with Trump in January that essentially served as counter-programming to a Republican debate aired on rival network CNN.

During the election season, Trump has refused to participate in debates with Republican challengers, opting instead for rallies with his supporters and one-on-one interviews with journalists.

Last month, Haley said she would no longer participate in Republican debates unless Trump agreed to appear. The announcement prompted CNN and ABC News to cancel two debates that were in the works, with both networks opting for town hall-style discussions with the candidates going forward.

Fox News is operated by Fox News Media, a subsidiary of Fox Corporation.
