A San Diego sports anchor was shot outside his home on Tuesday, according to a report from his employer.

Kyle Kraska, the sports director and anchor at CBS affiliate KFMB-TV (Channel 8), was shot multiple times in the driveway of his Scripps Ranch home around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

The shooting suspect was identified as Mike Montana, a 54-year-old house painter. Montana was apprehended at a home in El Cajon around 10:30 p.m. local time.

According to reports, Kraska was shot multiple times in the leg and stomach. He was rushed to a local hospital and entered surgery Tuesday afternoon. His prognosis was listed as “good” Tuesday evening, KFMB said.

Station officials did not return a request for comment.
