Optimum says it has reached a deal with the National Football League to continue offering its two channels over the next few years.

The agreement, which covers NFL Network and NFL RedZone, comes just a few weeks before the start of the NFL regular season, and allows Optimum video customers to watch football-related programming from the two channels.

“Optimum customers love sports and the NFL, and we’re excited to bring them more sports programming that they know and love throughout the entirety of the NFL season,” Leroy Williams, the chief growth officer at Optimum, said on Tuesday. “We have a long-standing partnership with the NFL Network and NFL RedZone and are looking forward to what the 2023 season has in store for our favorite teams, players, and most importantly, our customers.”

NFL Network offers replays of games aired on major broadcast networks, Prime Video and ESPN, along with classic games and football-related programming. NFL RedZone offers live look-ins of major plays during games aired on CBS and Fox stations on Sunday mornings and afternoons.

“We are excited to extend our partnership with Optimum,” Hans Shroeder, the executive vice president of media distribution at the NFL, said in a statement. “Fans with Optimum TV will continue have the ability to watch NFL Network’s award-winning coverage of America’s most popular sport as well as access to our wildly popular NFL RedZone.”

Optimum offers video and broadband services to more than 5 million customers across its 21-state footprint. The company is owned by Altice U.S., which also owns News 12 Networks and the youth-oriented business news channel Cheddar.
