Svengoolie fans in certain parts of the country were crushed earlier this year when Sinclair Broadcast Group announced they would drop Me TV from some of their broadcast stations in favor of one of their own channels like Comet or Charge.

The move meant Svengoolie fans in Eureka, California; Redding, California; Green Bay, Wisconsin; Lexington, Kentucky and other parts of the country had to scramble to find a streaming cable television replacement to watch Me TV and get their Svengoolie back.

Many found refuge in Philo, a wallet-friendly, streaming cable alternative that recently signed a deal with Weigel Broadcasting to bring Me TV (and, yes, Svengoolie!) on board along with about a half-dozen other networks, including Story Television, Decades, Heroes & Icons and Start TV.

Philo is a great service at a reasonable price, offering more than 60 live channels from Weigel, Paramount Global (Comedy Central, MTV, Paramount Network), A+E Networks (A&E, History Channel, TLC), Warner Bros Discovery (Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Science Channel), AMC Networks (AMC, IFC, We TV) and more.

Philo allows a single account to have 10 individual user profiles, which come with its own unlimited cloud DVR storage that saves shows and movies for at least a year (some shows and movies will stay longer if they are re-aired on channels carried by Philo). All of this is bundled into a streaming service that costs just $25 a month, contract free, with no commitment.

But from now until November 30, Svengoolie fans can grab their first full month of Philo for just $5 — an 80 percent discount — when they sign up using this link and enter code “THANKS” at check-out.

Philo is available across a wide range of streaming TV devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV (Google TV), newer model Samsung Tizen TVs and Apple TV, as well as popular Apple and Android-powered smartphones and tablets.

To get your first month of Philo at an 80 percent discount (just $5), click or tap here and enter code “THANKS” at check-out. The sale ends November 30.
