Customers of Dish Network’s Sling TV and Google’s YouTube TV are reporting problems with the National Football League’s (NFL) premium touchdown network NFL RedZone.

The issues crept up on the first full day of the NFL’s 2022-23 season, which brought many football fans to their phones, tablets and smart TVs to catch the action on Sunday.

In a social media post, a spokesperson for Sling TV affirmed customers of that service were having problems accessing the channel, with most customers receiving a “Playback Error” message when they tried to tune in.

By early afternoon, the issue was fixed for most customers, though Sling TV said some customers on certain devices might still have intermittent issues. Customers who are still experiencing problems were encouraged to use a different device.

Google’s YouTube TV also appeared to be having problems with NFL RedZone, according to multiple social media posts. The service has not yet acknowledged issues with the channel.

In addition to Sling TV and YouTube TV, NFL RedZone is available as a premium add-on through Vidgo, Fubo TV and Hulu with Live TV.
