Verizon has formed a partnership with Televisa-Univison’s streaming service Vix that will allow its wireless and home Internet customers to get a 12-month subscription to Vix Premium for free.

The deal comes about two yeras after Televisa-Univision signed a similar partnership with T-Mobile, which offers Vix as one of several streaming perks for customers of its postpaid plans.

Verizon is offering free access to Vix Premium to all customers who are enrolled in postpaid “My Plan” service tiers. The deal amounts to over $80 in savings, Verizon and Televisa-Univision said in a joint statement.

“We’re happy to expand our partnership with Verizon, expanding the reach of our industry-leading Spanish-language content,” Adam Waltuch, the Executive Vice President of Global Distributions and Partnership at Televisa-Univision, said in a statement. “We share in their commitment to provide in-language content to consumers across the country, and this deal meets the needs of the growing Spanish-speaking audience.

“Verizon is committed to keeping our customers connected to the people, places and passions that they love,” said Angie Klein, the Senior Vice President of Growth Marketing and Content at Verizon. “Vix Premium provides the U.S. Latino audience with an unprecedented portfolio of original and live Spanish-language content, and this partnership with Televisa-Univision is a meaningful opportunity for Verizon to deliver the content and exclusive experiences our customers want.”

The deal comes ahead of several soccer tournaments that will be offered live through Vix Premium, including the UEFA European Championships on June 14 and the CONMEBOL Copa America 2024 on June 20. Vix Premium also offers access to tournaments and programming from Liga MX and LigaMX Femeni.

Eligible Verizon customers can visit the Verizon website to learn more about activating their 12-month free trial of Vix Premium.
