Fired New York weatherman launches subscription service
A New York meteorologist who was fired after appearing on an adult webcam service last year has launched his own subscription weather product.
Erick Adame is a former television meteorologist who worked for Charter Communication’s Spectrum News NY1 in New York City and Spectrum News Central New York 1 in Syracuse. Adame made international headlines over a series of adult webcam broadcasts, some of which became knowledge to his employer.
Mr. Adame’s claims that he was the victim of criminal revenge porn has been largely refuted by audio from at least one of his broadcasts that The Desk published in September 2022. His subsequent claim that he intended the online broadcasts to remain private has been refuted from audio in which he gave out certain personal information, including his full name, home address, telephone number and details about his job.
