British TV streamer Acorn TV to raise subscription price

Streaming service Acorn TV says it will raise its subscription price for new and current customers. The price of a subscription will increase to $7 a month plus tax starting May 12, the streaming service said in a note to customers seen by The Deskon Wednesday. Current customers can save by switching to an annual account and using the code ANNUAL22 in order to lock in a subscription for $60, Acorn TV said in the note. “Our updated pricing is part of our commitment to improve Acorn TV, so you have even more of the world-class entertainment you like to watch waiting for you,” the company told customers.
