WBD will merge Eurosport with TNT Sports in U.K., Ireland
Warner Bros Discovery will merge its free-to-air network Eurosport with TNT Sports in the United Kingdom and Ireland later this year.
Eurosport is a pan-European cable and satellite television network that offers live sports and related programming. The network is owned by Warner Bros Discovery (WBD), and offers its two television channels in 20 different languages across 54 European countries.
Eurosport is the main rights holder to the Summer Olympic Games and the Winter Olympic Games in most European markets, with WBD sharing or sublicensing TV rights with some public service broadcasters.
Most live broadcasts from Eurosport are available through Discovery Plus and Max in Europe, with some live sports available through Max in the United States.

Disney Plus had 19 percent of the new subscriber market in the U.K., with Amazon’s Prime Video coming in second at 14 percent.
Europeans are subscribing to more streaming services, according to survey data from Bango, but price increases and the paradox of choice are creating fatigue among consumers there.
“WBD House” will include studios and production facilities that will allow the media and entertainment brand to deliver thousands of hours of Olympics coverage this year.
WBD won’t charge Max subscribers for continued access to live sports through the streaming service until at least the middle of the year.

The increase was attributed to more streaming coverage on Discovery Plus in 10 countries.
