PBS fires attorney after comments revealed in hidden video
PBS has fired a mid-level staff attorney after he was surreptitiously recorded during a media sting operation by a watchdog group.
Public Broadcast Service (PBS) is one of the largest distributors of television programs to public broadcast television stations in the United States. PBS is funded through the purchase of its programming by independent member stations, the sale of commercial broadcast rights to its programs in foreign markets, corporate sponsorships, private grants and through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. PBS is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia.

PBS is rolling out free live streams of select member stations, including several local stations in California.
A free live stream of PBS programming is in the works and could made available through an app soon, an executive with the syndicator said.
After months of negotiating and planning, PBS formally launched on streaming television service YouTube TV early Tuesday morning.
PBS was supposed to launch on YouTube TV this month, but financial complications and other setbacks have pushed back the date indefinitely.
Setbacks at some smaller member stations prompted YouTube and PBS to delay the rolling out of local PBS member stations until later this year.
