Comcast files formal FCC complaint against Nexstar
Comcast has filed a formal complaint with the FCC, accusing Nexstar and MIssion Broadcasting of not holding good faith retransmission talks.
WPIX (Channel 11) is CW Network owned-and-operated broadcast television station in New York City. The station is licensed to Mission Broadcasting, and is entirely controlled by Nexstar Media Group through a local marketing agreement.

An ongoing battle between Comcast and Nexstar reached a peak this week when WPIX was pulled from systems in the New York City area.
Mission is known to exercise shared services agreements with Nexstar Media.
Nexstar Media Group formally acquired Tribune Media on Thursday, taking control of three dozen stations and selling off about a dozen more.
Chief Executive Peter Kern is also expected to depart the combined company shortly after the deal closes, according to the memo.
Tribune is warning that many stations, including KTLA, PIX 11 and CW Portland, could be pulled from Spectrum TV after negotiations with Charter have not yielded a new contract.
