Fox Business Network host Liz Claman has been chosen as one of six cable pioneers to be inducted into Syndeo Institute’s Cable Hall of Fame this year.

Claman, who hosts “The Claman Countdown” for the network, holds the honor of being the only on-air talent named among the 2024 honorees, which honors influential and trailblazing members of the cable television industry.

Claman has worked in cable news for more than two decades, first joining CNBC as an anchor in 1998 before moving to the Fox Business Network upon its launch in 2007. She began her television career as a production assistant at KCBS-TV (Channel 2) in 1986, where she was the youngest person at the station to win a regional Emmy Award.

In addition to Claman, the other five inductees who will be honored at the 27th annual Cable Hall of Fame celebration in April are:

  • Bonnie Hammer, Vice Chairperson, NBC Universal
  • Yvette Kanouff, Partner, JC2 Ventures
  • Larry E. Romrell, Board Member, Liberty Media and Liberty Global
  • Steven A. White, President and Special Counsel to the CEO, Comcast Corporation
  • Rouzbeh Yassini-Fard, Founder and Board Member, YAS Foundation

“The 2024 Cable Hall of Fame class is a diverse and influential group of trailblazers who have had a formidable impact on the formation of our industry,” Michael Willner, the President and CEO of Penthera Partners and the Chairman of the Cable Center’s Board of Directors, said in a statement on Thursday. “We are looking forward to gathering with our industry colleagues and honoring these six innovators at our celebration at the Ziegfeld Ballroom this April.”

“This year’s Cable Hall of Fame honorees are some of the most accomplished leaders in the business,” Diane Christman, the President and CEO of the Cable Center, said in a statement. “It will be a true honor to welcome them to the Cable Hall of Fame.”

The 27th annual Cable Hall of Fame ceremony takes place Thursday, April 18 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.
