Budget-conscious streaming television service Frndly TV is adding four subscription video on-demand (SVOD) products to a newly-launched marketplace, the company announced on Wednesday.
The four services — Lifetime Movie Club, History Vault, Great American Pure Flix and A&E Crime Central — will join Hallmark Movies Now as separate add-ons that Frndly TV subscribers can purchase and bundle with their base subscription plan, which starts at $8 per month or $84 per year.
The five add-ons will be available to purchase through a newly-launched subscription streaming marketplace that Frndly TV is launching, called the Frndly TV Channel Store.
“By making these SVOD services available to our subscribers in one central location, we are further serving our customers with more options for their enjoyment — and providing these services with a national distribution outlet that makes their programming available to millions of potential viewers,” Michael McKenna, the co-founder and Chief Programming Officer at Frndly TV, said in a statement. “While there is fragmentation and unbundling throughout the pay TV industry, we are very pleased to add these great offerings to Frndly TV and bring them together under one roof with the easiest user experience possible, and the convenience of a single billing account.”

While each of the SVOD products are available on their own, they integrate natively into the Frndly TV app when purchased as part of a Frndly TV subscription — no logging in or switching apps needed.
The price of each service follows:
- Lifetime Movie Club: $5 per month or $50 per year
- History Vault: $5 per month or $50 per year
- Great American Pure Flix: $9 per month or $80 per year
- A&E Crime Central: $5 per month or $50 per year
Frndly TV customers can even score a discount on three of the four services — Lifetime Movie Club, History Vault and A&E Crime Central — when they purchase the services as a bundle. The bundle will cost $10 per month or $100 per year, a discount of $5 per month or $150 per year compared to the cost of each service separately.
“Today’s TV consumer wants choice in price and programming – choice that is easy to find and access in one place and the convenience of one billing account,” McKenna said. “As a leading [streaming TV provider], it’s our job to give people the options they want and make both discovering and using those options easier than ever. With the launch of the Frndly TV Channel store, we are fast becoming the central hub for the independently owned streamers.”
