SiriusXM will distribute an expanded version of Mediaite’s Press Club podcast on one of its political affairs radio channels, the companies announced on Thursday.
The expanded version of Press Club will air on SiriusXM POTUS (SXM Channel 124), starting June 8.
Hosted by Mediaite’s Editor-in-Chief Aidan McLaughlin, the show will feature interviews with key individuals in the political and media arena. In a press release on Thursday, SiriusXM and Mediaite said a number of current and former cable news personalities would appear on the program, including Jake Tapper, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Don Lemon, Tomi Lahren and Ari Melber. The first episode will air on SiriusXM this Saturday and feature an in-depth interview with ABC News anchor George Stephanopolous.
Mediaite is the brain child of Dan Abrams, the senior legal correspondent at ABC News and an on-air host at Nexstar Media Group’s NewsNation. Many of its popular articles revolve around video clips pulled from cable news programs.
“I am thrilled to expand my relationship with SiriusXM with this new program,” Abrams said in a statement. “Aidan has had really insightful conversations with various top media personalities, including many who rarely do interviews, and airing it on SiriusXM’s prominent POTUS channel will make the show and Mediaite that much bigger.”
The SiriusXM version of “Press Club” will air Saturdays at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, and will be distributed across major podcast platforms a short time later. Portions of the shoe will also be available on Mediaite’s YouTube channel.
