The Big Sky Conference is partnering with the E. W. Scripps Company’s sports division Scripps Sports on a new weekly college football recap show.

The half-hour program, called “This Week in Big Sky Football,” will stream Fridays on the Big Sky YouTube channel and air on select Scripps Sports broadcast TV stations within the league’s coverage area. Shows will also be distributed through the website MontanaSports.com, which is powered by Scripps. Meghan Robinson will serve as the program’s host.

Through broadcast TV, This Week in Big Sky Football will air on the following stations:

  • KIVI-DT2 (Channel 6) in Boise, Idaho
  • KPAX-DT2 (Channel 8) in Missoula, Montana
  • KRTV-DT2 (Channel 3) in Great Falls, Montana
  • KSAW-LD2 (Channel 6) in Twin Falls, Idaho
  • KTVH-DT2 (Channel 12) in Helena, Montana
  • KTVQ-DT2 (Channel 2) in Billings, Montana
  • KUPX (Channel 16) in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • KXLF-DT2 (Channel 4) in Butte, Montana

“This new programming is the next evolution in our conference’s aggressive outreach strategy to quench the increasing appetite for Big Sky football,” Tom Wistrcill, the Commissioner of the Big Sky Conference, said in a statement. “With this weekly show that will be widely available on our popular social media channels that include our growing YouTube page, as well as on broadcast and digital channels across our conference’s footprint thanks to our tremendous partner in Scripps Sports, fans can recap and preview each week of the football season, as well as each of the 14 other sports we sponsor.”

The Big Sky Conference has partnered with Scripps Sports on various college sports telecasts for the past two years. That coverage includes the Media Day and Hall of Fame Gala TV productions and the annual Kickoff Week.

Scripps Sports stations, including those affiliated with the Montana Television Network (MTN), broadcast nearly a dozen Big Sky Conference football games each season, and also provide coverage of the Big Sky Basketball Championship each season from Boise.
