DirecTV is launching a new local sports add-on that allows subscribers of its MySports television package to access their regional sports network.

The add-on, called MyHome Team, will cost $20 per month and will have limited availability in around two dozen markets where the company has the rights to offer a regional sports network through the MySports planThe Desk was the first to report that DirecTV was working on a regional sports add-on package for its MySports subscribers.

The channels available through the MyHome Team add-on include:

  • Altitude Sports & Entertainment
  • Chicago Sports Network
  • FanDuel Sports Cincinnati
  • FanDuel Sports Detroit
  • FanDuel Sports Florida
  • FanDuel Sports Indiana
  • FanDuel Sports Kansas City
  • FanDuel Sports Midwest
  • FanDuel Sports North
  • FanDuel Sports Ohio
  • FanDuel Sports Oklahoma
  • FanDuel Sports SoCal
  • FanDuel Sports South
  • FanDuel Sports Southeast
  • FanDuel Sports Southwest
  • FanDuel Sports Sun
  • FanDuel Sports West
  • FanDuel Sports Wisconsin
  • Marquee Sports Network
  • Rangers Sports Network (coming this spring)

The channels unlock games from 37 professional sports teams — 12 associated with Major League Baseball, 15 National Basketball Association teams and 10 National Hockey League clubs. MySports subscribers with the MyHome Team add-on will see the channel or channels available in their home broadcast area — just as they would on traditional cable or satellite. And the channels work with sports-focused DirecTV features, including live scores, pre-game stats and game time notifications.

“MyHome Team delivers unmatched flexibility and control for a local sports enthusiast to tune in and watch their teams whenever they want, whether that’s all season long or during portions of the season,” Vince Torres, the Chief Marketing Officer at DirecTV, said in a statement. “With industry-leading features like Sports Mode, Game Time Notifications, Pre-Game Stats and Live Scores included, DirecTV customers can stream their local team satellite-free and never miss a play.”

MySports costs $70 per month and offers access to league-owned channels like NBA TV, NHL Network, NFL Network and MLB Network. The package also includes local broadcast stations from ABC, Fox and NBC, along with national sports networks or sports-inclusive channels like ABC, ESPN, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), Fox Sports 2 (FS2), USA Network, Golf Channel, TNT and TBS.

In addition to the MyHome Team add-on, DirecTV also offers a MySports Extra, which unlocks additional channels like NFL RedZone, Willow TV and MotorTrend for an additional $13 per month.

All DirecTV genre-based packages and add-ons are available through the DirecTV Stream app, and most are offered with a free trial.
