Synamedia, a technology firm that provides broadband and video solutions, has joined the National Content & Television Cooperative (NCTC), the company announced this week.
Synamedia’s membership will allow NCTC broadband and cable TV providers to tap into the tech firm’s suite of broadband and video solutions, including its award-winning Senza puck, which utilized cloud-based infrastructure to turn any HDMI-enabled TV into a smart device.
Synamedia is also the pioneer behind “Synamedia Go,” a platform that enhances over-the-top services with AI-driven content discovery and recommendations. Synamedia said the use of the AI tool will help create “richer, more engaging viewing experiences across any screen,” and the platform is “built for flexibility, allowing providers to scale and adapt as their service offering evolves.”
Other Synamedia products include Quortex Play, a software-as-a-solution (SaaS) streaming platform that allows any content provider to deploy flexible and reliable live streams in minutes; CloudDVR, which enables recorded and time-shifted programming across any screen; Fluid EdgeCDN, a content delivery optimization engine that helps reduce costs and latency; and Quortex Switch, which enables seamless switching between CDN providers and allows content distributor to dynamically direct traffic to the best content source in real-time.
Those solutions and others — including products tailored to revenue-generation and optimization — are now available within the NCTC Marketplace for broadband and cable TV providers.
NCTC comprises hundreds of broadband and cable TV providers across the United States, including telecoms that service small communities and rural areas.
