SiriusXM is launching a new subscription dedicated to reaching sports fans in the car and on the go.

The new plan, called SiriusXM Sports Pass, will debut on September 1 at a cost of $5 per month or $50 per year. SiriusXM Sports Pass unlocks access to live streaming sports networks from the satellite radio company along with play-by-play coverage of major sporting events from the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Baseball (MLB), among others.

SiriusXM says its Sports Pass subscription will offer dozens of channels via in-vehicle tuners and many more, including team-specific game simulcasts, via the SiriusXM app and its Internet-connected SiriusXM 360L tuners.

The subscription will also include dozens of local sports radio stations from Audacy in markets like New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Pittsburgh through a partnership between the two radio broadcasters announced earlier this month. The Audacy stations are set to go live on SiriusXM’s satellite and streaming platforms in the next few weeks.

SiriusXM offers exclusive radio stations from all four major sports leagues and several college sports conferences, including the Big 10, AAC and SEC. Other exclusive channels include SiriusXM FC (soccer), WWE Radio, SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, INDYCAR Nation and College Sports Radio.

National sports radio brands like ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio and NBC Sports Radio are also available on SiriusXM and will be included in the Sports Pass, the broadcaster said.

“Every new channel, artist performance, live event, and creator collaboration advances our vision for the future of audio: making SiriusXM a home for fandom, where listeners can go deeper into the things they love and feel part of a lasting community,” SiriusXM CEO Jennifer Witz said in a statement. “SiriusXM Sports Pass brings that vision to life for sports fans by putting every game and event we carry, hometown voices, national personalities and the daily sports conversation into one simple, affordable subscription. No matter who you cheer for or where you listen, it brings you closer to the teams and voices that matter most to you.”

All channels from the SiriusXM Sports Pass will continue to be available in SiriusXM’s pricier core subscription offering, called All Access. Some sports channels are also accessible through lower-priced SiriusXM tuner and streaming plans, though availability varies.

SiriusXM will report their second quarter (Q2) financial earnings on Thursday.
