Two watchdog groups are seeking investigations into whether FCC officials violated ethics rules by accepting luxury tickets from Paramount while the company sought regulatory approval for major mergers.

The complaints from Democracy Defenders Fund and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington follow a ProPublica investigation that found CBS and Paramount have provided FCC commissioners like Brendan Carr, Jessica Rosenworcel and Olivia Trusty with tickets to the Kennedy Center Honors for several years.
