A local radio presenter in Britain was removed from the air after listeners became concerned that she may have been intoxicated.

BBC Radio Stoke presenter Paula White was taken off the air by the station 30 minutes into her afternoon show last week.

According to BBC News, White said on air that she wasn’t drunk, but admitted to having “a couple of drinks.” (audio)

BBC News says White hosted the lunchtime show for BBC Radio Stoke for six years. Friday’s show would have been her last before moving to a new time slot on the weekend.

It is unclear if White will return to air.
