Late Wednesday evening, police responded to the Santa Teresa, New Mexico home of Adrienne Alvarez for a domestic dispute involving the news anchor and her husband.

Alvarez was arrested on suspicion of battery. She was released from the Doña Ana Count Detention Center Thursday on $1,000 bond.

Alvarez works for El Paso’s NBC affiliate KTSM-TV. She also worked for the area’s CBS affiliate KDBC, whose newscast is produced by KTSM.

Gary Sotir, the general manager for KTSM and KDBC, said the station was aware of the arrest but would have no further comment.

The station did not air a report on Alvarez’s arrest nor did it publish a news story on its website.
