A 21-year-old motorist was cited on Saturday after Nebraska police found more than 11 grams of marijuana inside a butter container labeled “Not Weed.”

The not-at-all-inconspicuous container was located under the driver’s seat of 21-year-old Jordan Meier’s 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo during a traffic stop in Lincoln on Saturday.

Officers pulled the vehicle over for a traffic violation shortly after 9:00 p.m. Meier was detained for driving while under the influence. During a search of the vehicle, officers found the container.

In an interview with the Smoking Gun website, Meier said he wrote the words “not weed” on the container as a joke not “thinking it would be confiscated.”

A police report says Meier claimed ownership of the container and was cited for marijuana possession. He was released from custody on Sunday.
