The Hollywood Reporter has laid off a number of employees, including some who work in the editorial and digital departments, according to a report.
On Thursday, digital trade publication WWD said around a dozen employees of the media magazine were given pink slips. Employees affected by the layoff include those who work on the publication’s website and international correspondents, WWD said.
Employees who work on the print edition of the magazine did not appear to be affected by the latest round of layoffs, WWD reported.
The layoffs were the third such instance in a little over a year to affect media properties owned by Valence Media. In January 2019, around 20 staffers were released from the Hollywood Reporter and sister publication Billboard; in September, around seven employees working for SppinMedia Group were laid off.
