Fox News Digital surpassed CNN in total digital multiplatform unique visitors during the month of February, the first time the network has achieved this milestone over its rival news channel, according to data from Comscore.
The data reveals Fox News Digital had more than 115 million multiplatform unique visitors last month, up 18 percent compared to the prior year. CNN’s digital platforms had nearly 111 million multiplatform unique visitors, down 2 percent compared to the prior year, according to Comscore, while the New York Times logged 73.95 million multiplatform unique visitors, down 7 percent on a year-over basis.
In multiplatform total views, Fox News topped CNN with 1.575 billion views, compared to CNN’s 1.183 billion and the New York Times’ 1.45 billion. CNN’s multiplatform total views were flat on a year-over basis, while the New York Times saw the highest growth, with an 18 percent increase in multiplatform total views compared to February 2023.
Data from Emplifi showed Fox News was the most-engaged brand on social media across competitive metrics in February, with nearly 24 million social interactions across Facebook, X (Twitter), YouTube and other platforms. Shareablee data showed Fox News had 5.7 million interactions on Facebook, 2.2 million on X (Twitter) and 16 million on Instagram. On YouTube, Fox News had 189 million video views in February, Shareablee data revealed.
The website, apps and social accounts of Fox Business had 161 million multiplatform views in February, besting CNN Business and Bloomberg and posting a 25 percent year-over growth. The channel’s YouTube clips were the most-viewed across the competitive business news set, with 56.1 million views in February, according to Shareablee.
