Entertainment company Future Today has inked a partnership with Lionsgate, GoPro, Blue Ant Media, Tastemade and others to offer their free, ad-supported streaming content channels through the Fawesome app.

Starting this week, streamers with the Fawesome app on their smart TVs can watch nine new channels, adding to a growing list of dozens of free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) options that offer premium movies, television series, documentaries, lifestyle programming and sports, among others.

The new channels added to the Fawesome app include:

  • Blue Ant Media (lifestyle, documentaries)
  • Moviesphere by Lionsgate
  • Ebony by Lionsgate
  • Bold Baking Network
  • Sport TV Plus
  • Tastemade
  • GoPro TV
  • Voice of America
  • Gusto TV

The linear content streams are available within Fawesome’s connected TV apps for Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV (Google TV) and other supported platforms. Roku users can find the “Live TV” section via a dedicated menu option in the left sidebar of the app. Mobile and browser-based versions of Fawesome are limited to on-demand content for now.

“With this expansion, we’re strategically positioning Fawesome at the intersection of premium content and accessibility,” said Vikrant Mathur, the co-Founder of Future Today. “Our growing FAST channel portfolio directly addresses evolving viewer preferences while creating valuable new opportunities for advertisers seeking engaged audiences across diverse demographics.”

“The market has clearly validated the FAST model,” said David Di Lorenzo, Future Today’s Senior Vice President of Kids and Family. “Our expanded channel lineup delivers the high-quality, targeted content viewers want without subscription barriers, while providing advertisers with contextually relevant environments for their messaging.

Future Today says its Fawesome app is utilizing the company’s proprietary cloud-based technology that allows content providers to quickly spin up FAST channels and deploy them to distributors “in a matter of days.”

In that respect, Fawesome is part consumer service, and part proof of performance, allowing potential clients to see precisely how content producers and distributors can leverage FAST to generate additional revenue off their existing film and TV libraries.

In addition to its own channels, Future Today powers content streams for FilmRise, Mattel, Moonbug, Kabillion, Cineverse and others.
