Electric Entertainment promotes Michael Johnson to director role

Electric Entertainment has promoted Michael Johnson to serve as the Director of Streaming and Content Operations for Electric Now, the company’s free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel.

In his new role, Johnson will handle all aspects pertaining to the channel, including programming, distribution and technology management.

“Michael has been an invaluable asset to the growth and success of Electric Now,” Dean Devlin, the CEO of Electric Entertainment, said in a statement. “His unwavering dedication, strategic insight, and deep well of industry knowledge have played a pivotal role in expanding the capabilities of both the app and our channel. Thanks to his contributions, we’ve been able to enhance the user experience, broaden our offerings, and position Electric Now for long-term success.”

In addition to his management duties, Johnson will lead the team responsible for the creation and use of promotional on-air content, and will remain the main point of contact for all streaming platform partners.

Johnson will continue to report to Steve Saltman, the Head of Domestic Sales at Electric Entertainment.
