Trump Media & Technology Group has officially entered the global streaming market with the launch of its new platform, Truth Plus, developed in partnership with right-of-center news outlet Newsmax.
The company, which also operates the Truth Social platform widely used by Donald Trump, introduced Truth Plus on Monday. The service debuts with Newsmax as its flagship channel and offers what Trump Media calls “family-friendly live TV channels and on-demand content.”
Truth Plus is now available for download on iOS and Android devices, as well as through the web and major streaming platforms including Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire, and Roku. Global rollout for LG and Samsung smart TVs is underway as app approvals are processed.
“We’re gratified by the fast introduction of Truth Plus to international markets and look forward to completing the rollout across all devices and operating systems,” said Devin Nunes, the Chairman and CEO of Trump Media. “I’d like to thank Newsmax in particular for partnering with Trump Media for this expansion, which will bring the network’s unique programming to major new markets.”
Nunes added, “There is clearly a need globally for fresh perspectives on the great issues of our day, and we’re laying the groundwork to challenge the woke news monolith with hard-hitting, non-woke reporting and commentary.”
Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy praised the move, saying, “Devin Nunes has done a remarkable job growing Truth Social and now Truth Plus in the U.S., it’s only natural they would grow globally and we’re proud to partner with him and Trump Media on this expansion.”
In addition to Newsmax, other right-of-center channels are also offered on Truth Plus, according to an app listing reviewed by The Desk. The other channels include Real America’s Voice, One America News Network, Salem News Channel, RSBN and Patriot TV. National feeds of Euronews and WeatherNation are also available.
Alongside Truth Social and Truth Plus, Trump Media is also preparing to launch a financial services platform called Truth.Fi. The upcoming venture will focus on America First investment vehicles, marking the company’s expansion into the financial technology (FinTech) space.
