Bitmovin has struck a strategic partnership with StreamShark to deliver a new video player aimed at enterprises, broadcasters and video game publishers that need streaming at scale.

The deal, announced ahead of IBC 2025, will see Bitmovin Player integrated into the new StreamShark video player. The product is being marketed as a solution that blends reliable playback with engagement and measurement tools.

StreamShark says the player will launch with features tailored for interactivity and accessibility. Viewers will have access to live polls, real-time reactions and calls to action, along with switchable captions and audio tracks. Companies can also stream to branded channels secured with AI-powered live captioning and multi-language voice dubbing.

Analytics are a central focus. StreamShark is promising unified data that allows customers to measure engagement down to the individual viewer, a capability the company says helps marketers prove ROI with more clarity.

“Video is increasingly being used by enterprise teams to engage with their audiences. However, the complexity of video streaming means that scaling video with confidence can be challenging,” said Stefan Lederer, the co-Founder and CEO of Bitmovin “StreamShark is integrating the best-of-breed solutions to ensure its customers get a unified solution that delivers high quality, security and detailed analytics while drastically reducing that complexity.”

StreamShark will also debut MultiView, a feature that integrates with Bitmovin Player and enables viewers to watch multiple streams at once on a single page. The tool is aimed at companies running multi-session events or broadcasters offering simultaneous feeds.

“Our enterprise customers need a single, powerful platform to scale their global communications, and that requires excellence at every layer of the technology stack,” James Broberg, the Founder and CEO of StreamShark, said in a statement. “That’s why our partnership with Bitmovin is so foundational to delivering a flawless viewing experience at a global scale – you have to start with the best player stack on the market. This combination of best-in-class technologies is what allows us to deliver a complete platform with total confidence.”

Both companies are pitching the partnership as a way to simplify what has traditionally been a complex process. By bundling playback, engagement features and data under a single platform, Bitmovin and StreamShark say they can help organizations expand video strategies without building or managing separate systems.
