Dish Network’s streaming service Sling TV has refreshed one of its short-term passes that offers access to ESPN, CNN and other channels from its Sling Orange package.

Starting this week, Sling TV is relaunching its Weekend Pass as the “3-Day Pass,” allowing streamers to buy 72 hours of access to the Sling Orange package, no matter which day of the week their short-term subscription starts.

Sling’s 24-hour Day Pass and 7-Day Pass are still available. The Day Pass feature costs $5 per activation, the 3-Day Pass is priced at $10 per activation and the 7-Day Pass is $15 per activation.

“At Sling TV, our mission has always been to put the customer first by delivering TV your way, and that means listening when they tell us how we can be even better,” Seth Van Sickel, the Senior Vice President of Sling TV, said in a prepared statement. “Our customers asked for more flexibility, saying they wanted to use their pass when they needed it, not when the calendar dictated. The new Sling TV 3-Day Pass lets subscribers decide exactly when their three days of live TV starts. This change is purely about enhancing consumer choice and ensuring Sling TV remains the leader in providing the most valuable and flexible viewing experience possible.”

Sling TV said the new 3-Day Pass feature will allow college football fans to stay on top of live bowl games from ESPN and TNT Sports without having to pay for multiple days on separate occasions. Instead, college sports buffs can simply purchase a 3-Day Pass at the start of bowl season and watch nearly all the games offered over a 72-hour period.

Not everyone is fan of the Sling TV Day Pass features: the Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros Discovery (WBD), the parent companies of ESPN and TNT Sports, have filed separate but related lawsuits alleging the short-term subscriptions violate the distribution agreements they have with Dish Network.

Those lawsuits are still playing out in court, but a federal judge overseeing the case brought by Disney gave Dish Network an early victory when he rejected a request for a preliminary injunction that would have put the Day Pass feature through the duration of the case. Dish responded by dropping the price of the Sling TV Day Pass to just $1 through the end of November.
