Subscribers of Comcast’s pay television service Sky now have access to Disney Plus as part of their package, the company announced in a news release on Tuesday.
The move comes about a month after Sky announced it was refreshing many of its pay TV packages to include access to streaming services like Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max and the forthcoming app Hayu.
On its own, Disney Plus starts at £6 per month (around U.S. $8 per month). Customers can upgrade to the ad-free Disney Plus plans by paying the difference, Sky said.
The Disney Plus perk is available to new and existing Sky TV customers who watch live channels via the company’s traditional satellite or next-generation streaming services.
Customers who use Sky’s Internet-connected set-top boxes, Sky Glass smart TVs or Sky Stream boxes can activate the Disney Plus plan by saying “Get Disney Plus” into their voice-powered remote controls.
In addition to the streaming app, customers who subscribe to Sky Cinema will also receive a new Disney Plus linear channel that collates movies and shows from the streaming service, the company said.
