Front Office Sports has picked Matt Iseman as the host of its upcoming syndicated show “Front Office Sports Tonight,” the publication revealed on Wednesday.
Iseman has worked as the host of NBC’s “America Ninja Warrior” for the past decade, and also served as the host of other programs like “Live Rescue” on A&E and “Macy’s 4th of July Spectacular” for NBC.
“Matt is really smart, really curious, really funny and really likable — four traits that make for a really fantastic host,” Executive Producer Rob Silverstein said in a statement. “We are excited to have him in the anchor chair leading viewers through the most important cultural, entertainment, and business stories in the sports world each night.”
The 30-minute show will launch September 14 and air Monday through Friday, with one additional weekend episode each week. The program will draw on reporting from Front Office Sports, the multi-platform media company that covers sports business, media, entertainment and culture.
Front Office Sports says a number of broadcasters have already committed to carrying the program, including Fox television Stations, Hearst Television, Nexstar Media Group, Sinclair, Gray Media, the E. W. Scripps Company, Adell Broadcasting, Sunbeam Televisoin, Morgan Murphy Media and Forum Communications.
In some markets, Front Office Sports Tonight is expected to replace “Good Morning Football: Overtime,” a syndicated show that served as an extension of the NFL Network breakfast program that uses similar branding. ESPN, the owner of NFL Network through its stake in NFL Media, is ending the program after two seasons. (Coincidentally — or perhaps not — Front Office Sports broke the news of the program’s wind-down.)
FOS Studios is handling domestic distribution, with Barry Wallach overseeing station sales and Marathon Ventures managing national television advertising sales.
