Scripps News is adding two programs to its summer schedule, including a weekly news roundup hosted by veteran media executive and correspondent Jon Lieberman.

“Catch Me Up With Jon Lieberman” will premiere Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m. Eastern on the free national streaming news service owned by The E.W. Scripps Company.

The 30-minute program will feature interviews with reporters and other guests, along with a panel discussion focused on the week’s major news stories. Viewers will also be encouraged to submit questions and comments by text.

Lieberman has previously worked with CNN, “America’s Most Wanted” and SiriusXM in production, correspondent and executive roles.

Announced guests include former professional wrestler and current politician Matt Morgan, writer and activist Sydney Leathers and Forward Party Founder Andrew Yang. (Yang currently appears as a contestant on the Fox game show “Nation’s Dumbest.”)

Scripps News will also begin carrying “Travels With Darley,” a travel series hosted and produced by Darley Newman. The program has aired on PBS for 13 seasons and has received multiple awards, including a Daytime Emmy Award nomination.

The series focuses on culture, food and history in destinations around the world. Newman also serves as an author and travel expert in addition to hosting the program. The first 30-minute episode will air Saturday, August 1 at 8 a.m. Eastern, followed by an encore Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story misidentified the media executive that is hosting one of the two new shows. His name is Jon Lieberman, not Joe Lieberman. The erroneous name was provided by the broadcaster.
