  • Red Seat Ventures has added live streaming to Supercast, expanding the Fox-owned subscription platform beyond premium audio and on-demand video.
  • The feature combines live video with real-time chat, polls and paid message pinning designed to increase subscriber participation.
  • Creators can use existing streaming software to broadcast directly through Supercast, with subscribers receiving app or email notifications when streams begin.

Fox Corporation-owned Red Seat Ventures has launched a new live streaming feature on its platform Supercast, which allows creators to deliver real-time programming and other perks to their subscribers, the company announced on Tuesday.

Creators can connect their existing streaming software to Supercast and broadcast directly through the platform. Subscribers receive app or email notifications when creators schedule or begin streams.

The feature combines live video with real-time chat, polls and paid message pinning, which allows subscribers to keep comments prominently displayed during a broadcast.

Supercast is also introducing video premieres, allowing creators to schedule prerecorded programming as live events with the same interactive tools.

“Live streaming brings a powerful new dimension to that relationship, giving creators an easy way to turn their subscription communities into active, shared experiences, all in one place,” Jason Sew Hoy, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Supercast, said.

Early users include “Kill Tony,” which has used Supercast for ad-free episodes and live premieres, along with “The Greatest Generation” and “Theories of the Third Kind.”

Red Seat Ventures, which Fox acquired in early 2025, works with creators across comedy, true crime, news, sports and entertainment. The company said adding live streaming is part of its effort to expand direct-to-consumer subscription and monetization tools.

Supercast supports exclusive audio and video subscriptions through its own mobile app and third-party podcast players.

The company said its 10 highest-earning podcasters collectively generate more than $26 million annually from podcast subscriptions.

Live streaming is available to all Supercast creators starting today.
