
Sinclair, Inc. on Monday launched a new brand campaign and identity for its local television station in St. Louis, Missouri.
The station, KDNL (Channel 30), is now operating as an independent outlet after dropping its affiliation with ABC in August, with ABC programming moving to Gray Media-owned KMOV (Channel 4) in the market.
Starting thsi week, KDNL will identiy on-air as “STL 30,” which “KDNL’s continued commitment to serving the St. Louis community with programming that is relevant, local and connected to the market,” a spokesperson said in a news release.
“STL 30 is about creating a stronger, more distinctive identity that reflects the community we serve,” said KDNL Vice President and General Manager Beth Worsham. “St. Louis is at the heart of everything we do, and this new brand gives us an opportunity to build an even deeper connection with viewers and local partners.”
KDNL offers national news programming from Sinclair’s “The National News Desk” production, along with syndicated shows like “The People’s Court,” “Tamron Hall,” “Live with Kelly and Mark,” “Family Feud” and “The Simpsons.”
