The National Association of Broadcasters has opened nominations for its 2027 Technology Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations contributing to broadcast engineering, digital operations and communications technology.
In a statement on Monday, the NAB said the recipients of those awards will be honored during its annual conference in Las Vegas next April.
The awards cover three categories, including the Digital Leadership Award, which recognizes individuals working at broadcast stations, ownership groups or networks who have helped advance their organizations through the adoption of emerging technologies.
The Engineering Achievement Awards are presented separately to radio and television professionals whose technical work has made lasting contributions to the broadcasting industry.
A third category, the Technology Innovation Award, recognizes organizations developing new communications technology with significant technical merit. Eligible technologies must remain pre-commercial and be demonstrated at NAB Show.
“Innovation in broadcasting is driven by people who see what’s possible and turn ideas into solutions,” said John Clark, NAB’s Chief Innovation Officer and Senior Vice President of Emerging Technology.
Nominations for the Digital Leadership Award and Engineering Achievement Awards must be submitted by January 19, 2027. The deadline for the Technology Innovation Award is March 1, 2027. Nomination forms, eligibility requirements and information about previous recipients are available through NAB’s website.
