Starz, Britbox launch discounted streaming TV bundle
Starz and Britbox have joined forces on a new subscription bundle that will allow streamers to watch content from both services while saving them money.
Britbox is a streaming television service that originally operated through a joint venture launched by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and ITV. The service operates through Britbox International, with a specific focus on North America. In 2024, the BBC announced it was acquiring ITV’s stake in Britbox International, making the brand a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BBC’s commercial arm, BBC Studios.

The broadcaster is looking at a universal service fee to generate domestic revenue as it projects a further increase to its operating deficit.
Britbox has no plans to raise prices or introduce an ad-supported tier, the BBC’s global media and streaming chief Rebecca Glashow said.
Schildhouse will also serve as the President of Britbox North America, reporting to BBC executive Rebecca Glashow.
The commercial arm of the BBC will spend around $321 million to take full control of Britbox’s U.S. and Canadian streaming services.
