Audio service SiriusXM Pandora has announced a new partnership with cable news channel CNN to develop a new satellite and streaming radio channel focused on the network’s original programming.

CNN Originals will debut on SiriusXM Channel 121 and on the SiriusXM app on September 18. The channel will include audio versions of CNN’s original programming, including episodes of “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” “The History of Comedy,” “This is Life with Lisa Ling” and “United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell.”

The channel will also air shows from CNN’s sister network HLN (formerly CNN Headline News), including audio simulcasts of “Forensic Files II.”

“CNN and HLN Original Series offer a mix of historical, culture, crime and mystery non-fiction content, so there’s something for every kind of SiriusXM listener,” CNN executive Amy Entelis said in a statement released on Wednesday. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase and introduce our informative and entertaining series to a whole new audience.”

CNN Originals joins simulcasts of CNN and HLN’s cable networks, which air on Channel 116 and Channel 117. CNN’s international news channel simulcasts on Channel 454 through select compatible satellite radios, and all three channels stream on SiriusXM’s companion app.

“CNN and HLN have created an incredible catalog of docuseries, and we are proud to offer them, in addition to future programs, as a full-time channel to SiriusXM subscribers,” SiriusXM Pandora executive Megan Liberman said.

CNN is operated by WarnerMedia, a subsidiary of telecom giant AT&T. SiriusXM Pandora is majority-owned by Liberty Media.
