Nine months after announcing a deal to bring ViacomCBS cable networks to its platform, the Google-backed streaming service YouTube TV has finally rolled out some ancillary digital networks that fall within that package.

In a social media post on Tuesday, YouTube TV said it was rolling out seven ViacomCBS-owned digital networks to its subscribers and urged those with custom guides to manually add the channels to their listings.

The channels join more than a half-dozen ViacomCBS-owned cable networks that were added when YouTube TV extended its distribution deal with the company last June. The previous deal covered channels that were operated by CBS Corporation before the company merged with Viacom Networks in late 2019. Prior to the extension, YouTube TV carried CBS Sports, Smithsonian Network, Pop TV and most local CBS broadcast stations.

Following last year’s deal, YouTube TV almost immediately added core ViacomCBS cable networks, including BET, Comedy Central, CMT, MTV, Nickelodeon, TV Land and VH1. Without setting a concrete rollout date, the company promised to launch additional ViacomCBS channels on its platform at a later time.

On Tuesday, YouTube TV said that time had come and announced the launch of seven additional ViacomCBS channels, including:

  • BET Her
  • Dabl Network
  • MTV 2
  • MTV Classic
  • Nick Jr.
  • NickToons
  • Teen Nick

In addition to the ViacomCBS channels, YouTube TV offers a handful of core and digital channels from the Walt Disney Company (ABC, ESPN, Freeform, FX), Fox Corporation (Fox, Fox News, FS1), AMC Networks (AMC, IFC, BBC America), Comcast (NBC, NBCSN, Bravo, USA, MSNBC), Discovery Networks (Discovery, Animal Planet, HGTV) and others. A basic subscription to YouTube TV, which includes accounts for six people in a single household and an unlimited cloud-based DVR that saves programs for nine months, for $65 a month plus tax.
