
Streaming cable replacement Frndly TV says it has reached a deal with A+E Networks to make the programmer’s on-demand catalog available to subscribers.
The on-demand catalog includes reality shows, documentaries and other programs aired on A&E, Crime & Investigation, FYI, the History Channel, Lifetime and Vice TV. Among the titles that will be offered are:

“A&E Networks has been a great partner with Frndly TV since its channels launched on our service,” Michael McKenna, the chief programming officer of Frndly TV, said in a statement on Tuesday. “The additional collection of shows from the A+E Networks library extends that relationship and is a nice holiday gift to our subscribers. We are excited to make available both current and past seasons of a wide variety of shows and movies to our customers at no additional cost to them.”
The on-demand catalog will be made available to new and existing Frndly TV subscribers without any additional cost, officials with the streaming service said. The A+E Networks portfolio of channels joined Frndly TV in January.

Frndly TV offers more than 40 live channels of family-friendly content, including A&E, the History Channel, Vice TV, Me TV, Decades TV, Heroes & Icons, Great American Family, Game Show Network, the Weather Channel, Get TV, Hallmark Channel and more.
The “Basic” plan of Frndly TV costs $7 a month and offers one stream of content in standard definition, as well as Frndly TV’s video on-demand catalog across supported channels. A “Classic” plan at $9 a month bumps the video quality up to high definition, allows users to stream content on two devices at once, and unlocks a cloud DVR feature that saves recorded content for at least three months (a similar “Premium” plan allows four simultaneous streams and saves recordings for nine months at a cost of $11 a month).
All plans offer the same live channels and video on-demand content. Frndly TV comes with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers who sign up using this link.
