Fox Corporation has promoted David Espinosa to the role of president of distribution, and has placed him in charge of all aspects of the company’s strategy to distribute content across multiple platforms.

Espinosa will report to John Nallen, the chief operating officer at Fox, and will oversee distribution across the Fox broadcast network, Fox Entertainment, Fox News Media, Fox Sports, Fox Television Stations and the free streaming platform Tubi.

Espinosa succeeds Mike Biard, who left Fox this week to serve as the chief operating officer of Nexstar Media Group. Biard takes over the role from Tom Carter, who will remain at Nexstar as a senior advisor to the company but otherwise enter a period of semi-retirement.

“We want to thank Mike for his meaningful contributions to Fox throughout his time with us and wish him continued success in his next chapter,” Nallen said in a statement on Tuesday. “David has been a valued member of the Fox team for seventeen years, and we are confident that his leadership and strategic insight will provide a seamless transition for the distribution team and our partners.”

Espinosa has worked in various roles at Fox since 2006, most recently serving as the company’s executive vice president of distribution strategy and business affairs. In that role, Espinosa oversaw distribution of Fox content across cable, satellite and streaming services, as well as Fox-affiliated TV stations throughout the country.

“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to lead such an impactful aspect of the Fox business,” Espinosa said. “The team and I look forward to continuing to work with our partners throughout the industry as we provide premium value through our defining news, sports and entertainment content, as only Fox can.”
