Fox Business Network continued to deliver high ratings for its market hours and post-market business-focused shows in July, according to data from Nielsen Media Research.
“Kudlow,” the network’s post-market recap show hosted by former National Economic Council director Larry Kudlow, was the highest-rated program across business news channels, earning an average of 258,000 total viewers during the 4 p.m. Eastern Time hour. CNBC earned an average of 171,000 viewers in the same time slot with “Closing Bell,” Nielsen data showed.
Coming in second was Stuart Varney’s market-open program “Varney & Co,” which grabbed an average of 221,000 viewers during July, about 15 percent more than CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.” And the network’s pre-market show “Mornings with Maria” topped CNBC’s “Squawk Box” in the 6 a.m. hour.
Other Fox Business Network shows, including “Cavuto: Coast to Coast,” “The Big Money Show,” “The Evening Edit with Elizabeth MacDonald,” “The Claman Countdown” and “Making Money with Charles Payne” ranked among the top 15 shows on business television as reported by Nielsen.
The network also saw gains among its prime-time viewers, with Fox Business grabbing an average of 159,000 total viewers and 51,000 viewers in the key demographic of adults aged 25 to 54 with re-runs of the true-crime series “Cops,” which airs on Thursdays and Fridays. Taking into account the entire broadcast week, Fox Business Network captured an audience of 103,000 overall viewers during prime-time hours.
