DAZN has inked a new multi-year agreement with interactive TV platform VIDAA that will see the sports app come pre-installed on smart TVs running VIDAA’s streaming operating system.
Starting this year, VIDAA TVs shipped around the world will offer access to localized versions of DAZN’s streaming app. In three countries — Germany, Italy and Spain — VIDAA-powered TVs made by third party companies like Hisense and Toshiba will also include a dedicated shortcut button for DAZN.
“This is yet another exciting partnership that underpins DAZN’s strategy of delivering an ever-increasing range of top-quality sports content to sports fans on a global basis,” Pete Parmenter, the executive vice president of strategic partnerships at DAZN, said on Wednesday. “This deal increases accessibility and reach for our rights holders’ content, such as the NFL Game Pass [in Europe] and UEFA Women’s Champions League. Being available on VIDAA’s smart TVs creates even more visibility for DAZN’s best in class coverage, products and services as we continue our journey to being the world’s leading sports platform.”
Yaniv Gruenwald, the president of VIDAA, said the company was “thrilled to be partnering with DAZN to expand our premium content offering with their world-class sports content.”

For years, VIDAA has primarily focused the distribution of its smart TV operating system in countries where other players like Roku and Amazon Fire TV have been late to capitalize on the shift from broadcast and satellite TV to streaming video.
The company is headquartered in Atlanta, but only recently began selling VIDAA-powered TVs at retailers in the United States. Some models are available to purchase at Best Buy and on Amazon.
