Paramount Global has promoted Anna Priest to serve as the Senior Vice President of its Paramount Plus streaming service in the United Kingdom.

Priest previously worked as the Chief Marketing Officer for Paramount UK, which includes the broadcast network Channel 5 and several pay television channels distributed on cable, satellite and streaming.

In her new role, Priest will develop and execute on a strategic vision for Paramount Plus in the United Kingdom, the company said in a statement. She will report to Marco Nobili, the Executive Vice President and International General Manager at Paramount Plus.

The promotion comes as Paramount has focused on developing a number of new series for specific distribution in the United Kingdom, including “Gentleman in Moscow,” “Hot Yachts” and “Insomnia from the Crown.” Some of its UK productions will also stream on Paramount Plus and Sky Showtime in other territories, while a few will be licensed out to other channels and services independent of Paramount.

Additionally, Paramount announced this week it has promote Katrina Kowalski to serve as the Senior Vice President of International Content Programming and Acquisitions for its free, ad-supported streaming service Pluto TV. The role will see Kowalski secure distribution rights to movies and series that will stream on domestic variants of Pluto TV outside the United States.
