Paramount Global’s has extended its content licensing arrangement with radio broadcaster Audacy that will see several major-market all-news stations continue to offer CBS News Radio segments and related programming.

The deal announced this week will keep CBS News Radio on more than a half-dozen Audacy-owned radio stations, including:

  • KCBS (740 AM, 106.9 FM) in San Francisco
  • KNX (1070 AM, 97.1 FM) in Los Angeles
  • KRLD (1080 AM) in Dallas
  • KYW (1060 AM, 103.9 FM) in Philadelphia
  • WBBM (780 AM, 105.9 FM) in Chicago
  • WCBS (880 AM) in New York City
  • WWJ (950 AM) in Detroit

Some news-talk radio stations in markets like KXNT (840 AM) in Las Vegas and KDKA (1020 AM, 100.1 FM) in Pittsburgh will also offer some CBS News Radio programming as part of the deal.

Many of the affected stations were owned by CBS Radio outright prior to its merger with Entercom in 2017, with the joint operation renamed Audacy several years later.

In addition to top-of-the-hour news bulletins and the CBS World News Roundup, the deal gives Audacy-owned news and talk stations the option to simulcast “The CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell” and portions of “60 Minutes” and “Face the Nation” from the CBS television broadcast network.

CBS News Radio programming is distributed to stations by Skyview Networks, which suffered a catastrophic cybersecurity incident last February that left it unable to provide stations with CBS News programming for several weeks. Skyview Networks has never provided a public update on the matter.
