HBCU Go inks 10-year deal with SIAC for college sports

Allen Media Group’s free streaming platform HBCU Go has inked a multi-year distribution deal with the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) for the exclusive broadcast and digital rights to all SIAC team sports into the start of the next decade.

The deal gives HBCU Go the rights to stream and air SIAC team football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and Olympic contests for the next 10 years, securing HBCU Go as the destination for SIAC events until at least 2032, the companies announced.



In addition to distribution on HBCU Go, Allen Media Group says SIAC events will be broadcast on 13 Paramount-owned television stations across the country, including:

  • KCAL (Channel 9) in Los Angeles
  • KMAX (Channel 31) in Sacramento
  • KPYX (Channel 44) in San Francisco
  • KSTW (Channel 11) in Seattle
  • KTXA (Channel 21) in Dallas
  • WBFS (Channel 33) in Miami
  • WKBD (Channel 50) in Detroit
  • WLNY (Channel 55) in New York City
  • WPKD (Channel 19) in Pittsburgh
  • WPSG (Channel 57) in Philadelphia
  • WSBK (Channel 38) in Boston
  • WTOG (44) in Tampa
  • WUPA (Channel 69) in Atlanta

HBCU Go was purchased by Allen Media Group in 2021. Programming from HBCU Go is available through the HBCU Go app on Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV,



The SIAC is a NCAA athletic conference that is primarily comprised of historical black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Based in Atlanta, the SIAC includes more than a dozen HBCU institutions, including:

  • Albany State University
  • Allen University
  • Benedict College
  • Central State University
  • Clark Atlanta University
  • Edward Waters University
  • Fort Valley State University
  • Kentucky State University
  • Lane College
  • LeMoyne-Owen College
  • Miles College
  • Morehouse College
  • Savannah State University
  • Spring Hill College
  • Tuskegee University

The SIAC sponsors 13 college sports — seven men’s contests and six women’s contests — and is a member of NCAA Division II.
